An aircrafttag from the "Golden Era of Aviation"

EC-FOZ was delivered in 1992 to Aviaco under the registration EC-987. Aviaco was completely taken over by Iberia. So this beautiful MD-88 was integrated in the Iberia fleet.

The MD-88 is part of the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series, which made its first flight in 1980. This series was developed as a stretch and improvement of the earlier DC-9.The MD-88, which came into service later in the series, featured more advanced cockpit automation, improved engines for greater efficiency.

Nevertheless the MD80 fleet was replaced by the modern and more fuel efficient Airbus A320.

So we took the opportunity to keep this great airplane alive.

Please be informed, that you order a piece of aviation history. This aircrafttag travelled for more than 1 decade around the world between +40°C and -60°C. This is why you may find dents and scratches on it. As well imperfections of paint may occur. But this is what we want to provide to you.

We remind you that this aircrafttag is not suitable for children.

Scratches are the point

This aluminium spent decades between +40 °C on the ramp and −60 °C at altitude, through rain, hail, de-icing fluid and ultraviolet light. It has dents, scratches and paint wear. That wear is the evidence that it flew - a flawless piece would mean it never did.
