About this aircraft

Our aircrafttag coasters have a size of 9,5cm x 9,5 cm and an "anti skid" backside.

We limited this edition to 330 unique pieces.

These coaster edition is handcrafted out of a Brussels Airlines A330.

Originally, the aircraft was delivered to the legendary Swissair in 1998 with Pratt and Whitney engines. After the grounding, which is still bitterly remembered by all aviation fans, it was taken over by Swiss International Airlines and was in service with Brussels Airlines until 2021.


Brussels is Europe's Africa specialist par excellence. This Airbus A330 was regularly en route to very exotic destinations like Luanda, Abidjan, Douala or Kigali, and with a bit of imagination, one or two grains of Sahara sand are still stuck to one of the aircrafttags ☺


The Airbus A330-223 thought it had found its final resting place in Enschede in 2021 before we went there and kissed it awake again.

This aluminium spent decades between +40 °C on the ramp and −60 °C at altitude, through rain, hail, de-icing fluid and ultraviolet light. It has dents, scratches and paint wear. That wear is the evidence that it flew - a flawless piece would mean it never did.
