Frequently asked questions

What the pieces are made of, how the aircraft are documented, and how shipping and returns work.

What you are actually buying

A piece of the exterior skin of a named airliner, cut and finished by hand, with the original livery paint left exactly as it came off the aircraft. Not a replica, not a reproduction, and not aircraft-grade aluminium that never flew.

How the aircraft are documented

Each piece is matched to a tail number - the registration painted on the fuselage of the aircraft it was cut from, such as G-BYGD or EC-FOZ. That registration identifies exactly one airframe in the world, and it is what lets you look the aircraft up independently of us.

Aircraft records on this site come from our own documentation and public sources. Where we have not verified a detail, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Materials and finish

Panels are cut by hand. Edges are deburred and sealed, so the aluminium is safe to handle and will not corrode indoors. Nothing is repainted, polished out or touched up.
