Coaster - Boeing 737-300 - Qantas - VH-TAW "History Collection"

The Boeing 737 originally registered as VH-TAW was delivered to Australian Airlines in 1987, marking the start of a remarkable 36-year aviation journey. Named Progress, it was the ninth of twelve aircraft ordered by the airline and served domestic routes throughout Australia. Following the merger of Australian Airlines with Qantas in the early 1990s, the aircraft continued to operate as part of Qantas’ mainline fleet until 2003, when it was transferred to Jetconnect in New Zealand. There, it flew both domestic and trans-Tasman routes as ZK-JNH.

In 2006, the aircraft was returned to Australia, converted to a freighter (now VH-XMO), and re-entered service with Australian Air Express and later Qantas Freight. It carried cargo across the country for nearly two more decades before completing its final flight from Brisbane to Melbourne in December 2023.

With over 56,000 flight hours and 34,000 cycles, the aircraft was officially retired in January 2024 and scrapped in 2025.
